Problem: My girlfriend screen on her s7 edge went black and white and when i go in her setting it’s like her phone is in ultra power-saving mode but it’s not cant get into any of the system settings at all.
Solution: This issue is similar to the problem that I discussed above, there are two things that you need to look into that may have triggered the issue, either the device has a firmware or hardware-related issue. So, before jumping to the conclusion you need to isolate first the issue by performing from one step to the other. At this point, we recommend you to boot your phone to Safe mode to know if there are apps triggered the problem. This procedure will temporarily deactivate all downloaded applications in the system and if the issue is not happening while in this mode, then obviously one of the downloaded apps triggered it. You can uninstall the suspected app until the issue is fix.
However,if the problem remained while in Safe mode then most likely there’s something to do with the firmware or hardware of your Galaxy S7 Edge. In this case, deleting the system cache is the best thing to do to force your phone to create newer files in the system. To do so, you can follow the procedure above.
At this point, after booting in Safe mode and deleting the system caches and issue remained, then you can perform the more complicated procedure by resetting the device. But before doing so try to backup all your files because it will be deleted once the procedure is performed. On the other hand, after the master reset and still the screen is flickering then you don’t have a choice but to bring it to the nearest shop because it might be a hardware issue.
